Ok, so I failed with #30daysofbiking after some injuries and more focus on racing. However, I signed up for something else. 100 Miles of Nowhere.
I actually signed up last year, but didn’t get to participate as Ryan broke his leg and yada yada. This year I feel better about my chances, as maybe I can recruit some others. We also live across the street from the local high school, so maybe I can pull a Foster and ride around the track.
What is the 100 Miles of Nowhere? Simple. Ride your bike 100 miles, and go nowhere. Usually done either on the trainer, on rollers or in a small loop.

I just registered! Glad to know others in the Boston area will be doing this as well. I’ve been participating in #30daysofbiking throughout April, and this event will give me good motivation to start increasing my mileage!
Sounds good, at some point I’ll be planning a route. Let me know if you ever want to ride other times as well! Do you race at all?
I haven’t raced at all. I’m still fairly novice. I bought a commuter bike 2 years ago, and have been using that, but I’m looking to buy a road bike in the next month. Certainly before June 2nd!
Let me know when you look to buy a road bike. I know a few places in the area.
I’m in for 100 Miles of Nowhere, too! Last year, I rode on my trainer — set up on Lemon Hill in Fairmount Park (Philadelphia) so I could pedal while watching the pro cycling race that just happened to be going on at the same time. (I actually rode my first 14 miles on the race course about an hour before the race started.) I will likely do the same thing this year, too — it was actually a lot of fun!
Sweet! I wish there was a pro race nearby sometime. We have the Boston crit but I don’t think I’d be able to do a setup like yours.
