So, I sent out a few emails for my LIVESTRONG fundraising. I have a few more scheduled. All of the recipients are those I’ve emailed in the past, so they shouldn’t be too surprised when they get an email from me. There are a few that slipped in that I didn’t really mean to email.
One of them let me completely speechless (for about a minute) and fuming.

I really hope his life isn’t ever affected by cancer, but chances are it will be.

I’m with you on this one…speechless. How can someone say something so inappropriate and awful? It’s unfortunate that most people will be affected by cancer in some way within their families.
I give you great credit for saying that you hope his family is never affected by cancer. That’s a classy move on your part.
I don’t think there is much else you could say without going off on the guy. Best left alone.
